Garry Sage, Founder, Owner and President of JNS Media Specialists, has twenty-four years of marketing and media placement experience. Garry began his career in advertising and marketing in Anchorage, Alaska, working for the local ABC and FOX affiliates, and later for a group of radio stations. He lived in the Anchorage and Wasilla area for twenty-one years before moving to the beautiful Coachella Valley, where he founded JNS Media Specialists.
Garry’s extensive marketing experience, from research, strategy, and planning, to buying, exe-cuting, and post analysis, has made JNS Media Specialists successful in maximizing their client’s media dollars. JNS Media Specialists manage and purchase millions of dollars of media locally, regionally, nationally and internationally for clients such as City of Indian Wells, City of Palm Desert, Desert Oasis Health Care, Greater Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau, Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism, Palm Springs Subaru Volvo, The Living Desert, and one of the largest tennis tournaments in the world, the BNP Paribas Open. Judy began her marketing career as an Account Executive for an ABC affiliate in Anchorage, Alaska, where she spent twenty-one years. During that time, she worked as a Local Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and General Sales Manager, managing the sales staffs in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau. She developed strategic statewide marketing campaigns for companies such as Arco, AT&T Alascom, Anchorage Chrysler Dodge, Alyeska Pipeline, BP, Exxon, and GCI, and was instrumental in developing the sales, productions and statewide coverage of the world’s foremost dog sled race, the Iditarod.
After the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, Judy developed a statewide tourism campaign, “See Alaska First,” designed to encourage Alaskans to explore the fabulous beauty, recreation, and uniqueness of Alaska. The following year, she created a follow-up campaign, “Summer Fun in Alaska,” which continued to educate residents on Alaska’s recreational opportunities, and encouraged them to become ambassadors to their great state.
In August, 2005, Judy and her husband decided to leave Alaska’s cold winters behind and move closer to their family in the Coachella Valley. It wasn’t long before her son, Garry, asked her to join JNS Media Specialists, where they have been working side by side ever since. By partnering with clients such as City of Indian Wells, City of Palm Desert, Greater Palm Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau, Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism, BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament, and The Living Desert, Judy has found herself boasting the incredible beauty of a unique destination once again. She has joined with these clients to create regional, national, and international campaigns, and to develop strategic and integrated marketing plans that include television, radio, print, outdoor, digital online, social, and other media. Judy has also worked with clients in other leading local industries, such as California Window & Door, Desert Oasis Health Care/Inter Valley Health Plan, HUH? Help U Hear, Palm Springs Subaru, Paper Doll Interiors, and many others.

Robert Hrivnak is a business professional with over twenty years of experience in Southern California’s marketing and advertising industry. His background includes sales, marketing, and business management and development for industry leaders like Palm Springs Life Magazine, City Map Publishing, local ABC, FOX and WB television affiliates, and Martin Communications Outdoor.
Prior to joining JNS Media Specialists in February, 2013, Robert was the Associate Publisher of City Map Publishing for six years, where he expanded business operations within emerging markets in Greater San Diego by increasing revenue, creating new client and distribution partnerships, and capturing new opportunities for the expansion of the City Map brand. He also spent several years with Palm Springs Life Magazine, working first as an Account Executive and later as Director of Business Development, where he was challenged to facilitate the inaugural Coachella Valley VISION, engaging closely with the Riverside County Economic Development Agency, Coachella Valley Economic Partnership, Greater Palm Springs CVB and all nine Desert Cities for the purpose of driving new business and economic growth to the area.
Robert has consistently increased annual sales for his clients, working with a “relationship first” philosophy, and now brings his goal-oriented, energetic approach to JNS Media Specialists, as well as his keen ability to research, identify, and implement methods of expansion within new markets and develop innovative multi-media campaigns.
Freelance Radio and Television Producer
Frank Furino is Co-founder and Past President of Furino-Greene Creative in Palm Desert, a full service ad agency whose clients included The McCallum Theatre, The Living Desert, El Paseo, Desert Oasis Health Care, Eisenhower Medical Center, The La Quinta Arts Foundation, Augustine Casino and more. He currently provides freelance radio and television production services for The McCallum Theatre, La Quinta Arts Foundation, and Desert Oasis Healthcare.
Prior to arriving in the desert, Frank enjoyed a long and illustrious career as a writer, director, and producer. He started as Staff Director with ABC News and Sports for ten years, working with names like Howard Cosell, Keith Jackson, Ted Koppel, Peter Jennings, and Howard K. Smith, and covering national events like The Olympics, NFL Football, Championship Boxing, Auto Racing, Space Shots, and Political Conventions. He also spent three years as Vice-President of Diamond P Enterprises in Los Angeles, where he wrote and produced syndicated sports and entertainment shows and was voted Syndicated Country Music Radio Producer of the Year by Billboard Magazine.
Los Angeles proved to be fertile ground for Frank’s talents, providing him the opportunity to work with Dick Clark Productions for eight years as the Production Director of Syndicated Radio Division. During that time, he co-produced, Elvis & The Colonel, wrote ABC-TV’s New Years Rockin’ Eve, and created, wrote, and produced programs still running on over 200 radio stations nationwide. He then went on to spend nine years writing and producing for primetime/daytime TV shows such as Flamingo Road, Dallas, Falcon Crest, The Colbys, General Hospital, and more.
Frank’s voice can be heard in several hit movies, including Apollo 13, Ransom, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Cinderella Man, Good Night, & Good Luck, and many others. He taught Creative Writing at UCLA’s Extension Campus for three years and currently lectures at Cal State Riverside in Palm Desert.
